Antenna Modelling: “A Brief Introduction to 4NEC2”
January 25 @ 7:30 pm - 8:30 pm
A walk-through using antenna modelling software; for an inverted V, and a dipole with radials, then showing SWR and radiation pattern modelling.
A summary of some of the NEC (Numerical Electro-magnetics Code) programs, including pros and cons, and common issues.
A summary of the NEC commands, then walk-throughs to create a few simple antennas in 4NEC2 (inverted-V, dipole + Radials, and a 3 element Cubical quad).
Examples of SWR sweeps / Smith Charts, and examples of how to optimise (for F/B gain, and then for target frequency change).
