Newport Amateur Radio Society welcomed guest presenter, self build and electronics expert and indeed, long time friend of NARS, Jeff Ziplock – GW3UZS who delivered a fascinating presentation covering his journey into building a QRO amplifier.
Jeff has an astonishing level of expertise, and has embarked on his very own SDR transceiver build, as well as many amplifier and other related radio projects over the years, and shared some of his knowledge and experiences with us during the evening.
Jeff brought along his amp, conveniently titled – the Dragon – which we connected to one of our transceivers – all worked very well.
